Asha Wallace-Borland returned to Mizzou Athletics’ Sports Medicine Department in September 2021. She currently serves as the distance liaison for the Track and Field team.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Mizzou in 2019, she completed an internship at The Ohio State University, followed by a graduate assistantship at Otterbein University where she received her master’s degree in health administration. Her past experiences have awarded her the opportunity to work with swimming & diving, synchronized swimming, track & field, cross country and football.
Asha prides herself in creating meaningful relationships with her student-athletes in hopes of making an impact that lasts far beyond the athletic training facility. This has led her to pursue a second master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Mizzou, allowing her to combine the knowledge from both fields to better serve her athletes.
She is a board-certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and licensed through the Missouri Board of Healing Arts. She currently holds certifications in Dry Needling, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid.
Wallace is a native of Bolingbrook, IL, and enjoys crafting and spending time with her husband, Tuf, and dog, Jersey, in her free time.
