Ben joined the Tigers’ staff in 2012 after he closed his pole vaulting career for the black and gold. Ben began his time at Mizzou as a combined events specialist before shifting his focus to the pole vault, where he earned a PR of 4.45m (14-7.25). He earned his B.S. in education in 2012 and is now continuing his studies, expected to graduate in 2015 with his master’s degree in counseling – sport psychology. In his four years as a volunteer coach with the pole vaulters, Ben has worked with 2014 NCAA Championships qualifier and All-Time Top Ten performer, Heather Green, as well as four-time NCAA All-American and school record holder, Katrine Haarklau.
