Indoor: Did not compete. Outdoor:Threw a season-best mark of 59.90m in the javelin at the Tom Botts Invitational, placing fourth overall ... Won the javelin at the Indiana Invitational after tossing 51.94m ... Placed ninth - one spot away from All-Big 12 honors - at the Big 12 Championships after throwing 59.59m.

2010:
Outdoor: NCAA Championships first round qualifier in the javelin throw after turning in a season- and personal-best mark of 61.72m (202-6) at the Kansas Relays, nearly four meters better than his previous personal-best in the event ... Threw 60.03m (196-11) to finish 12th at the Big 12 Championships; the mark was his second-best throw of the season ... Tossed 56.91m (186-8) at the NCAA first round ... Earned Academic All-Big 12 honors.

2009:
Indoor: Set a season-best mark of 12.47m (40-11) in the weight throw at the Collegiate Challenge. Outdoor: Threw a personal-best 57.38m (188-3) in the javelin at the Tom Botts Invitational.

An All-Region and All-District linebacker for his high school football team ... also played quarterback, punter, and kicker.
