Rico Cason joined the University of Missouri sports medicine staff in spring 2022 as a staff athletic trainer, working with the football program.
Before joining the Mizzou staff, Cason worked through the Huntsville Hospital system as a contract athletic trainer covering Alabama A&M University football. Before his stint with the Bulldogs, he gained experience working with the Minnesota Vikings as an athletic training intern.
He holds professional certifications in dry needling, corrective exercise and dynamic neuromuscular stabilization.
Cason graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training in spring 2020 and earned his master’s degree in applied sports science and nutrition from Cal U in Fall 2022.
The Orlando, Florida, native is a current member of the United States Air Force Reserve.
