2013 OUTLOOK
Talented prospect who has had a hard time avoiding the injury bug throughout his career, but he'll have a chance to earn some playing time in the fall with a strong camp, where he begins listed at No. 2 on the depth chart at the tackle spot.
2012 SEASON
Contributed to the depth of the defensive line as a junior, and saw action in 10 games overall ... Ended with a career-high eight tackles on the season ... Registered a pair of tackles in games against Syracuse and earlier in the year against Southeastern Louisiana ... Also had single-tackle outings against Arizona State, at South Carolina, at Central Florida and at Texas A&M ... Was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for his outstanding work in the classroom.
2011 SEASON
Saw action in four games, making three tackles on the season...
2010 SEASON
Recovered nicely from his pre-season pectoral muscle injury, and earned his first letter for the Tigers, as he played in 10 games in reserve duty ... Was credited with two tackles, notching single stops in games against Kansas State and again in the 2010 Insight Bowl against Iowa.
2009 SEASON
Standout prep defensive end who was moved to the interior and was making nice strides before suffering a season-ending knee injury in practice early in the year ... Worked hard to get healthy and did an outstanding job during the rehabilitation process while taking a redshirt season and supporting his teammates from the sideline.
HIGH SCHOOL
ESPN.com said he displays good quickness off the ball and that he has a good motor and is a very high-energy player who is a solid tackler ... Won co-MVP of District 3-5A as a senior for his play that included 74 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 6 quarterback sacks from the defensive end position ... Also named a 2nd-Team All-State defensive end as a senior, as well as earning Academic All-State honors ... Had 67 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 4 quarterback sacks as a junior, and 1st-Team All-District honors that year ... Was named the district sophomore player of the year in 2006 as he made 56 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 3 quarterback sacks ... High school coach - Mike Papas.
