2007 SEASON
Had a big first season at Mizzou, as he eventually won a starting job with his strong play at strong safety ... Ended up starting 9 games in all, and ranked 7th on the team with 51 tackles in all ... Showed an ability to make big plays, as he ranked 2nd on the squad with 3 forced fumbles (including one against Heisman Trophy runner-up Darren McFadden of Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl) and was also 3rd on the team with his 2 interceptions ... Closed his season in strong fashion, with a career-high 9 tackles in the 38-7 win over Arkansas, including the forced fumble ... Intercepted a pass in the final minute of the game against Ole Miss to seal the victory ... Added two tackles in the game, his first two as a Tiger ... Intercepted a second pass in as many games on the last play of the game against Western Michigan ... Had a career-high four tackles against Illinois State ... Made his second career start against Nebraska, coming up with a pair of tackles ... Added four stops against Oklahoma ... Made three tackles against Texas Tech, starting his second-straight contest ... Missed the Iowa State game with an elbow injury ... Returned from the injury to make four tackles against Colorado ... Ranked by Super Prep as the nation's No. 64 overall JUCO recruit (all positions), and as the nation's No. 6-ranked safety ... Played the 2004 and 2005 seasons at the junior college level, and originally signed with Tennessee as part of their 2006 signing class, but ended up not attending UT and was re-recruitable ... Named Second-Team All-Mission League as a sophomore in 2005 at Pasadena City College, as he led the team in tackles with 83, including 3.5 TFLs ... Also broke up six passes, forced one fumble and blocked one kick that year ... Played his first year of junior college in 2004 at Citrus College, where he was a second-Team All-Conference performer and team defensive freshman of the year, after amassing 88 tackles and adding four INTs and three forced fumbles ...
