Bio
2018
- Blossomed into Mizzou’s top pitcher on the year, posting a 5-4 record with a 3.05 ERA with a team-best 103 strikeouts in 91.1 innings.
- Became the first Mizzou lefty to strike out 100+ batters in a single season since Justin Stine in 1999 and his 103 strikeouts as a junior rank 10th in Mizzou history.
- His 103 strikeouts are the fourth-most among any Mizzou lefty in program history (Chris Robertson – 116 in 1994; Jason Meyhoff – 114 in 1993; Justin Stine – 107 in 1999).
- Coupled with his 3.05 ERA, which ranked ninth in the SEC, he put together one of the best single seasons for a lefty starter in school history.
- Named SEC Pitcher of the Week on April 9 following a complete game shutout, the first of his career, against Alabama (4/7) during which he scattered just five hits with zero walks and seven strikeouts.
- Went 7.0 innings in eight of his 14 starts.
- Struck out a career-high 13 against eventual NCAA Regional at-large selection Northeastern (2/24) without walking a batter.
- Struck out 10 vs. La Salle (3/10) in an 8.0-inning outing with only one walk, allowing one run on five hits.
- Allowed five or fewer hits in six of his 14 starts and had seven or more strikeouts in nine starts.
- Tossed another complete game in his final home start of the season vs. Tennessee (5/18), striking out 11 against only one walk while scattering five hits.
- Allowed just six homers all year and walked just 17.
- His 6.06 strikeout-to-walk ratio ranked second in the SEC and 26th nationally following the regular season.
- Drafted in the fourth round of the MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners and began his professional career.
2017
- Posted a 4.83 ERA in 19 appearances (10 starts) during his sophomore season, amassing 54.0 innings
- Went 5-1 while picking up his first career save and walked just nine batters against 54.0 strikeouts
- Reset career-bests in ERA (4.83), opponent batting (.272), hits allowed, runs allowed, earned runs allowed and wins (five)
- Began the season in the starting rotation and his best start of the year came against Texas A&M Corpus Christi (2/25) when he limited the Islanders to just one hit while striking out eight over 6.0 shutout innings … The hit allowed was the only baserunner allowed as he did not allow a walk in the start as he picked up his second win of the season … That was part of a combined one-hitter for Mizzou
- Earned his third win of the season against Appalachian State (3/11), tossing 7.0 innings and allowing just one run on three hits while striking out a season-high nine batters
- Picked up a win in his first start of SEC play at Alabama (3/18), allowing three runs on four hits over 5.0 innings, striking out five
- Moved to the bullpen midway through the season and turned in six shutout appearances in nine attempts
- Earned his first career save, a two-out effort, against South Carolina (5/14) to help Mizzou to a series win over the Gamecocks
2016
- Finished his freshman season with 13 appearances, including 11 starts, while going 4-7 with a 5.12 ERA in 58.0 innings pitched
- Struck out 42 batters in 58.0 innings against only nine walks

- Was tremendous in back-to-back SEC starts against Arkansas (4/3) and Auburn (4/9), earning wins in the rubber games of each of those series
- Tossed 3.2 shutout innings vs. Arkansas, allowing just four hits and one walk while striking out five.
- Was even better against Auburn, throwing 5.2 shutout innings, allowing just three hits, one walk with five strikeouts
- Earned a win against Tennessee (5/1), going 5.1 innings, scattering seven hits with two earned runs and four strikeouts without walking a batter
- Struck out a career-high six over 4.2 innings at SEC Champion Mississippi State (5/7) as he allowed six hits and two earned runs in a loss.
