Matt Ridgway is a Mexico, Missouri, native and has been a member of Mizzou Athletics' Sports Medicine department for 7 years (2014-present). He served as a student assistant for three years, working with a number of sports, including Mizzou Football and Tennis.

Additionally, Ridgway assisted in several Mizzou club sports, including hockey, lacrosse, men's and women's soccer and wheelchair basketball.

After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri, he completed a one-year internship with Mizzou Football, followed by completing his master's Degree in positive coaching from Mizzou in 2020. Currently, Ridgway is working towards his third season covering Mizzou Baseball.
