- Manager of Advanced Analytics
Matt Kane is entering his third season with Mizzou Baseball in his role as Manager of Advanced Analytics. Kane works with all of the data acquired from our technological systems of Trackman, Rapsodo, HitTrax and Diamond Kinetics. With this data, Kane helps summarize it by creating analytical models, reports, graphs and diagrams to aid the coaching staff in player development and advanced scouting.
Kane graduated from Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Missouri, in 2016. He is currently a junior pursuing a triple major in Mathematics, Statistics and Economics. Kane is also involved in the Honors College as well as the Show-Me Scholars and Cherng Scholars programs at Mizzou.
Outside of Mizzou Baseball, Kane spent the 2018 calendar year as an analytics intern in the front office of the Pittsburgh Pirates. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in analytics in Major League Baseball.
