Named Georgia State 4A Player of the Year after going 8-1 with a 1.41 ERA, including a 4-1 mark in the postseason while guiding Redan High School to the Class 4A State Championship.
Was the winning pitcher in a 4-3 win in the championship game in 2013.
Played at the same high school as current Cincinnati Reds All-Star second baseman Brandon Phillips and Wally Joyner.
