Adam Kiel joined the University of Missouri Department of Athletics in August 2015 as the Director for Student Athlete Development.
Kiel graduated his undergraduate degrees in Organizational Management and Operations Management & Information Systems from Northern Illinois University (NIU) while competing as a Divison I football student-athlete for the Huskies from 2007-2011. After his college playing career ended, Kiel worked in the athletic department at NIU for two years as a Graduate Assistant in Compliance and Life Skills. During his graduate assistantship, Kiel worked in many areas including marketing, development, compliance, facilities, and life skills. He obtained his Master in Information Systems in December 2013 and a Masters in Sport Management in May 2015.
After completing his graduate assistantship at NIU in May 2014, Kiel made his way down to the University of Florida’s Athletic Association where he worked as a Post Graduate Intern for Student Athlete Development. In this role, Kiel was in charge of the Goodwill Gators Program aimed at getting student-athletes involved in the community, career and leadership development, working with the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, as well as a variety of publications including weekly and monthly newsletters.
At Mizzou, Kiel focuses his time on the Mizzou Made Student Athlete Development program where he works with student-athletes on their Career Development. Mainly working with student-athletes on their skill sets to prepare them for life after college, he also assists student-athletes in their pursuit of graduate school.
Kiel lives in Columbia with his wife, Amanda.
