Integrated Health Care Team
The Integrated Healthcare Treatment Team is a multidisciplinary team that is composed of MU athletics healthcare staff and other MU athletic team administrators and staff, as may be deemed appropriate, on a case-by-case basis with appropriate student-athlete consent as needed. The core team consists of a specially designated team physician, athletic trainer and a psychologist. Other athletic department staff may be asked to be involved on a case-by-case basis. The Integrated Healthcare Treatment Team shall meet at least on a monthly basis, with regular communication between face-to-face meetings in order to evaluate, review, and discuss medical concerns of the student-athlete.
The team will assess and address all medical issues including:
- Need for referral to outside agencies in order to obtain further assessment for more intensive treatment including consultation and/or assessments for intensive outpatient and inpatient treatment.
- Athletic participation status of the student-athlete.
