Postgame Notes

  • Mizzou improved to 6-0 at home to start the 2017-18 season, its best start to a season at home since the 2013-14 season, when the Tigers won their first eight at home.
  • Mizzou held North Florida to 19 points in the first half, its lowest opponent total in a half this season. The previous low was the 21 points Wagner scored in the first half (Nov. 13).
  • The Tigers outrebounded North Florida, 52-31, their largest rebounding margin (+21) of the season and the 10th time this season they have outrebounded their opponent.
  • Senior forward Jordan Barnett recorded his second double-double of the season, and the third of his career, with 18 points and 11 rebounds. His last double-double effort came against West Virginia (Nov. 26).
  • Barnett has now scored 15-or-more points in six-straight games, the longest such scoring streak of his career. His 18-point output is the eighth time this season and 26th time in his career he has scored in double figures.
  • Over the last six contests, Barnett is averaging 18.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
  • With his two blocks in the game, freshman forward Jontay Porter moved into fourth on the all-time freshman blocks list with 25 this season, passing Tate Decker, who had 24 in 1996-97.
  • Porter also set a season-high in assists, dishing out five against the Ospreys. His previous high was four against Green Bay (Dec. 9).
  • Porter also recorded 10 rebounds, just the second time in his career he has reached double-digit rebounds. Porter has now grabbed five or more rebounds in 10-straight contests.
  • With Barnett and Porter’s performances on the glass, Mizzou had two players record 10+ rebounds for the first time since the 2015-16 season when Jakeenan Gant and Russell Woods had 11 and 10, respectively, against Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Dec. 29, 2015.
  • Sophomore forward Reed Nikko scored a career high 12 points in the game, surpassing his previous high of 10 points, which he produced against Davidson last season (Nov. 18, 2016).
  • Nikko also snagged five rebounds in the game, the eighth time in his career and third time this season he has had at least five rebounds.
  • Junior guard Jordan Geist connected on two three-pointers in the game, the fifth time this season and ninth time in his career he has made multiple three-pointers.
  • Geist had 11 points in the game, the fourth time this season and 13th time in his career he has reached double-digits.
  • Geist also matched his career-high in steals, snagging three.
  • With 10 points and five rebounds, freshman forward Jeremiah Tilmon reached double-digits in scoring for the sixth time this season, while grabbing five or more rebounds for the seventh time this season.
  • Tilmon has scored at least 10 points and grabbed at least five rebounds in four-straight games.

  • Senior guard Kassius Robertson scored 11 points in the game, the ninth time this season and 75th time in his career he has scored in double-digits.
  • Robertson connected on 3-of-9 from beyond the three-point arc, the eighth time this season and 71st time in his career he has connected on multiple threes in a game.
