  • With the 67-62 win over Emporia State, Mizzou improves to 3-0 all-time against the Hornets.
  • Monday’s matchup was the first meeting between the two programs since 1910, the fourth-ever season of Mizzou Basketball.
  • Mizzou had seven blocks in the game, the most since the Tigers turned away 11 shots in a win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Dec. 29, 2015.
  • With 13 points, freshman forward Jeremiah Tilmon led the team in scoring for the first time in his career. Tilmon converted on 6-of-7 shots from the field in the game.
  • Junior forward Kevin Puryear matched Tilmon’s production on the stat sheet, scoring 13 points (4-of-9 FG, 0-of-1 3 PT, 5-of-5 FT). The 13-point output was the fourth time this season and the 45th time this season Puryear has scored in double digits.
  • Puryear grabbed eight rebounds in the game, matching his highest rebound total of the season. It was the 45th time in his career he grabbed at least five rebounds.
  • The Tiger junior was a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line in the game, just the second time in his career he has been perfect from the charity stripe when attempting at least five shots.
  • Freshman forward Jontay Porter recorded the first double-double of his career, scoring 11 points (4-of-9 FG, 0-of-1 3 PT, 3-of-5 FT). The double-double was the first for a Mizzou freshman since Puryear scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against Auburn on Jan. 9, 2016.
  • Tilmon and Porter each blocked three shots in the game, the most they have recorded this season.
  • The 11 rebounds for Porter is the most by a Tiger since senior forward Jordan Barnett snagged 12 rebounds against Alabama on Feb. 15, 2017.
  • Freshman guard Blake Harris dished out four assists in the game, the most thus far in his young career.
  • Senior guard Kassius Robertson picked the pockets of the Hornets three times, the first time this season and the seventh time in his career he has recorded at least three steals.
