Mizzou 99, Wagner 55
- Mizzou defeated Wagner, 99-55, in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
- With the win, Mizzou moves to 4-0 in program history against teams from the Northeast Conference.
- Mizzou won by 44 points, giving the Tigers a +59 margin of victory for the season, the largest margin of victory by any Mizzou team through the first two games of the season since 2009.
- The 99 points Mizzou scored in the game is the most since the Tigers scored 99 against Alabama A&M to open last season (Nov. 13, 2016).
- Mizzou carried a 33-point lead into halftime tonight, 54-21, the largest halftime lead for Mizzou in any game since Dec. 27, 2010 against Northern Illinois when Mizzou led 57-17 at the break.
- Mizzou tallied 54 points in the first half of play, the most points scored in a half since Dec. 6, 2016, against Miami Ohio (55).
- The Tigers shot the ball at an extremely high level, sinking 68.1 percent (32-of-47) of its attempts from the field, the best shooting performance by a Tiger team since the 2012-13 season when Mizzou shot 69.6 percent (32-of-46) from the field in a win over South Carolina (Feb. 28).
- The Mizzou defense forced 19 turnovers, the most since it forced 20 against Georgia last season (Jan. 7).
- Senior guard Kassius Robertson led all scorers with 23 points, becoming the first Tiger to score 20 or more points this season, and the first since junior forward Kevin Puryear poured in 30 points in the Tigers’ first round victory in the SEC Tournament last season.
- Robertson connected on 5-of-8 three-point attempts tonight, becoming the first Mizzou player to hit five or more three-point shots since Puryear and junior guard Cullen Vanleer both did so against Auburn last year in the SEC Tournament (March 8).
- Freshman forward Jontay Porter led Mizzou in rebounds with eight, while scoring 12 points in the game, his first career game scoring in double digits.
- Junior guard Terrence Phillips dished out five assists in the game, his 25th career game recording at least five dimes.
- Sophomore forward Reed Nikko had the most efficient night from the charity stripe in his career, sinking 6-of-7 shots from the free throw line. Nikko had never made more than three free throws in a game before the contest.
- Junior forward Kevin Puryear notched 12 points in his return to the starting lineup, his 42nd career game scoring in double figures.
- Five different Mizzou players scored in double digits tonight: Robertson (23), Barnett (13), Puryear (12), Phillips (12) and Porter (11). The last time Mizzou had five players score in double figures was last season against LSU (Jan. 4).
