  • The all-time series between Mizzou and Alabama is now tied at 4-4 and Alabama leads when playing in Columbia, 2-1.
  • Sophomore guard Sophie Cunningham posted her fourth 20-point performance of the season Sunday. It was the 14th 20-point outing in her career (47 games). Her 24 points on Sunday reset her season-high (previously 22 vs. Missouri State on Dec. 2, 2016).
  • Cunningham paced Mizzou’s offense in the first half, scoring 15 of the team’s 21 points on 6-for-10 shooting.
  • Cunningham played all 40 minutes of Sunday’s game, marking the first time in her career that she has played all 40 minutes of a game.
  • Freshman guard Jordan Chavis connected on a 3-pointer during Mizzou’s opening possession of the fourth quarter. She has now sunk at least one 3-pointer in all three SEC games for Mizzou. The three consecutive games with a made 3-pointer is the longest streak of her career. She hit two key triples in the final 10 minutes of action.
  • Sophomore forward Cierra Porter tallied her team-leading eighth double-double of the season. Mizzou is now 7-1 in games which Porter tallies a double-double this season.
  • Porter has scored in double figures in 16 of Mizzou’s 17 games this season.
  • Mizzou connected on 10-of-12 free throws Sunday, improving its season total to 254-of-323 (78.6 percent), the best total in the SEC.
  • Mizzou used a 3-point shooting barrage in the fourth quarter, connecting on 4-of-5 shots from distance. Prior to that, Mizzou was just 2-for-13 in the game through the first three quarters.
  • Mizzou’s defense was stout in the first quarter, limiting Alabama to just 3-of-16 shooting from the floor including 0-for-7 from distance.
  • Mizzou held Alabama to six points in the opening frame, its best opening quarter defensive performance of the season while tying for the fourth-best quarter total this season. Mizzou has now limited its opponents to single digit scoring in 13 total quarters this season and six or fewer six different times. Below is a look:
