Mizzou / South Carolina Post-Game Notes
TEAM NOTES
- With DB T.J. Warren and LB Brandon Lee making their first career starts on Saturday, the Tigers now have 26 first-year starters this season, which leads the nation and is seven ahead of the next-closest SEC team.
- Mizzou’s defense tallied a season-high nine tackles-for-loss as a team, with eight of those coming in the first half alone.
- With redshirt sophomore TE Kendall Blanton’s touchdown catch in the third quarter, Mizzou has thrown five touchdowns to a tight end for the first time since 2010.
INDIVIDUAL OFFENSE
- Freshman RB Damarea Crockett rushed for a 29-yard score in the second quarter. The rush was Crockett’s eighth trip to the end zone, breaking Mizzou’s freshman touchdown record, previously held by Brad Smith (7, 2002).
- Crockett’s eight rushing touchdowns are the most by a Mizzou tailback since Russell Hansbrough racked up 10 rushing TDs in 2014.
- Crockett has recorded a rush of at least 20 yards in seven of his first nine career games.
- Junior RB Ish Witter rushed for a 25-yard touchdown in the second quarter. It was Witter’s longest rush of the 2016 campaign and the longest touchdown run of his career.
- Blanton secured his third career touchdown reception with a leaping grab in the third quarter, the most TD grabs by a Mizzou tight end since Michael Egnew had three in 2011.
- Blanton matched his career-high with four catches and finsihed with a career-high 42 receiving yards.
- Redshirt freshman WR Richaud Floyd snagged a 37-yard reception in the fourth quarter. It was the longest catch of his career.

- Lee also totaled a career-high 11 tackles. The redshirt sophomore collected his second career sack and his second in as many games. He also matched his career high with 2.0 tackles-for-loss.
