INDIVIDUAL OFFENSE
- Freshman OL Jonah Dubinski earned his first career start, taking over at center.
- True freshman RB Damarea Crockett padded his freshman single season rushing touchdown record with a 22-yard touchdown run on Mizzou’s opening drive. He now has 10 TDs this season.
- Crockett ran for 225 yards on Saturday and now has 1,062 yards on the ground this season, breaking Tiger legend Brad Smith’s freshman single season rushing record.
- The 225 rushing yards were the most by any freshman in a single game in program history and rank eighth all-time at Mizzou.
- Crockett is one of just four running backs in program history to run for at least 225 yards on the ground in a single game.
- Crockett also matched Smith’s freshman record for most 100-yard games in a single season with five.
- Crockett’s performance was the first 200-yard game for a Mizzou player vs. an FBS school since Tony Temple in the 2008 Cotton Bowl. It’s also the most by any running back this season against Tennessee and the second most rushing yards Tennessee has ever allowed to a single game (Dexter McCluster - 282 yards).
- With a 29-yard rush with 12:03 remaining in the third quarter, Crockett surpassed 1,000 yards on the season, joining Smith as the only freshmen in program history to do so.
- Crockett is Mizzou’s first Tiger with 1,000 yards rushing in a season since Russell Hansbrough in 2014 and the first SEC freshman with 1,000 rushing yards since Nick Chubb and Leonard Fournette in 2014.
- Crockett’s 10 rushing touchdowns are the most by a Mizzou tailback since Hansbrough in 2014.
- Junior RB Ish Witter ran for a career-high two touchdowns and totaled a career-high 163 yards on the ground. It’s the second time this season that Crockett and Witter both reached the century mark on the ground in the same game, with the last time coming vs. Middle Tennessee on Oct. 22.
- On Mizzou’s opening scoring drive, senior TE Sean Culkin got things rolling with a 24-yard reception. He now has five catches of 20+ yards in the last six games. Culkin had just two receptions of 20+ yards in his career before that.
