TEAM NOTES
- Mizzou’s victory over Vanderbilt marked the second time in 2016 that both a Tiger rusher (Crockett - 154) and Tiger receiver (Moore - 138) recorded 100-yard games. The last time this occurred was vs. Delaware State (Sept. 24).
- Mizzou held Vanderbilt to a 21-percent (3-of-14) success rate on third downs for the lowest opponent conversion percentage since Delaware State (1-of-13) converted eight percent.
- The Tigers intercepted Vanderbilt twice, marking the fifth time this season that Mizzou has recorded at least two interceptions in a game.
- Mizzou recorded 6.0 sacks as team vs. Vanderbilt, a season-best after notching 4.0 vs. Georgia (Sept. 17) and at South Carolina (Nov. 5). The 6.0 sacks are the most by Mizzou in a game since totaling 6.0 at Tennessee (Nov. 22, 2014).
OFFENSE NOTES
- Freshman RB Damarea Crockett rushed for 154 yards, his second game with more than 150 rushing yards this season. Crockett rushed for a season-best 156 yards vs. Middle Tennessee (Oct. 22). Crockett set a new career-long rush with a 39-yard scamper in the third quarter.
- Crockett recorded his ninth rushing touchdown of the season, a four-yard TD run in the first quarter. The Tigers, as a team, accounted for five rushing touchdowns in the entire 2015 season.
- The overall effort for Crockett marked the fourth time this season that he has rushed for more than 100 yards. It is also the fifth time this season that a Mizzou rusher has recorded 100+ yards in a game.
- Sophomore QB Drew Lock compiled a 144 passer rating in the game, completing 22-of-37 pass attempts for 294 yards and two touchdowns. The Vanderbilt game was his highest passer rating since recording a 211.86 vs. Delaware State (Sept. 24).
- Junior WR J’Mon Moore hauled in a career-long 82-yard pass for his fifth touchdown of the season during second quarter action. The play was the longest pass since redshirt freshman WR Johnathan Johnson snagged a 87-yard pass from Lock against Eastern Michigan (Sept. 10).
- Moore finished the game with 138 receiving yards, his fourth game with more than 100 yards on offense. It is also the 10th time this season that a Mizzou receiver has recorded more than 100 receiving yards in a game.
- Moore has had multiple touchdowns in three games this season (4 vs. Delaware State; 2 vs. Georgia).
- Senior TE Sean Culkin grabbed a 25-yard pass in the third quarter to set a new career long reception. Culkin finished the game with three catches for 47 yards.
DEFENSE NOTES
- Junior DE Charles Harris recorded 2.5 sacks against Vanderbilt, his third multi-sack game of the season. All of his sacks (8.5) have been secured during SEC play.
- Harris matched his career-best for tackles in a game with nine stops.
- Harris is additionally the 18th player in program history to record at least 7.0 sacks in a season.
- Junior LB Joey Burkett tallied his second career interception during the first quarter. He was credited with an 8-yard return on the pick.
- Junior DE Marcell Frazier recorded his first sack in conference play this season and third overall with a seven-yard takedown in the first quarter.
- Frazier finished the game with a career-best 2.5 sacks, his first career multi-sack game.
- Senior CB Aarion Penton recorded a 19-yard interception and touchdown return in the second quarter, the first pick-six for Mizzou since Burkett’s 1-yard return for a score against Eastern Michigan (Sept. 10).
- Penton leads Mizzou with four interceptions this season, a total that would now tie for first in the SEC, as of this morning.
- Sophomore Terez Hall tallied six tackles (four solo) against Vanderbilt, setting a new career-high for tackles. His previous high was five, which came at West Virginia (Sept. 3).
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
- Sophomore P Corey Fatony has now pinned opponents inside-the-20-yard line 23 times this season, with three instances vs. Vanderbilt. He notched two 50+ yard punts, bringing his season total for 50+ punts to 17.
