Mizzou Golf Camps
CAMP CHECKLIST & REMINDERS
Things to Bring:
- Golf clothes for the appropriate number of days. Please include collared shirts and Bermuda length shorts. Old Hawthorne is a private club with a strict dress code. Campers must wear golf appropriate attire. All clothing and personal items should have your name or identification on them.
- Golf Bag. A lightweight carry bag is recommended.
- Old Hawthorne does not rent pull carts. If you choose to use a pull cart during camp, you must bring your own.
- Sneakers. Many times camper's feet will get sore from wearing golf shoes all day. It's nice to have something different to put on.
- Soap, shampoo, bath towel, pillow, and toiletries.
- An extra golf glove, athletic-tape, and band-aids.
- Any medications you need.
- Sunscreen
- Umbrella and rain gear
- Golf Equipment:
- Clubs
- Shoes
- Gloves
- Golf balls
- Sand Wedge (Nice, but not necessary)
Cell Phones:
Cell phones will only be allowed at designated times and in case of emergency.
Spending Money:
Students should only bring a nominal amount of money. Pro Shop items and snacks will be available both at Old Hawthorne and in the dorms.
Golf Clubs:
Golf Clubs will be stored at the course over night.
Rules & Regulations
- If a camper drives their own car to camp, they must purchase a parking pass ($12 per week). All vehicles will remain parked for the entire camp session. Only during an emergency and with parent's permission, will anyone be allowed to operate a vehicle during camp. The University takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items or damage to vehicles.
- No Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, drugs, fireworks, firearms, or weapons are allowed. Parents of violators will be notified and students sent home. No refunds will be given to campers who violate these rules.
- Campers are expected to behave like ladies and gentlemen. They are also expected to respect the property and rights of others. Students with discipline problems will be sent home without refund. In addition, parents are responsible for any financial damages caused by their child.
- All golf course "Guests Rules" apply to campers.
