Bob Schoonmaker

The last three-sport athlete at Missouri, Bob Schoonmaker earned eight letters in football (1951-52-53), baseball (1952-53-4) and basketball (1953-54). An infielder from Lebanon, Mo., Schoonmaker was an all Big Seven choice in 1954, when Missouri won the College World Series for the school's first national championship in any sport. He captained the football team in 1952 and '53, and was the last man to serve a two year stint as captain before Dick Chapura did it in 1985 and '86. He lives in Chesterfield, Mo.
