- Earned First Team All-State recognition from the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association and Associated Press following his final high school campaign.
- Played one season at The La Lumiere School, a preparatory academy in La Porte, Indiana, and averaged 13.2 points and 8.2 rebounds.
- Helped lead the Lakers to the championship game of the DICK’S Sporting Goods High School Nationals.
- Averaged 9.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game en route to Illinois Class 4A All-State Honorable Mention recognition from the Associated Press as a sophomore in 2014-15 at East St. Louis High School.
- Consistent shot-altering presence for his Flyers career, averaging 3.5 blocks per game in three seasons.
