An accomplished offensive lineman at Dallas Episcopal High School for head coach James Burk, earning first team all-conference honors three times from 2008-10 ... served as a team captain as a junior in 2009 and senior in 2010 ... earned three letters in track and field while at Dallas Episcopal.
