Zamora in Fifth Following First Round of NCAA Regional Championships

STANFORD, Calif. – No. 31 Mizzou women's golf carded a 6-over 290 to hold a tie for sixth place following round one of the NCAA Regional Championships on Monday.
The 290 stroke total tied the all-time program low for an NCAA Regional matching Mizzou's second round score in the 2018 Tallahassee regional.
Senior Jade Zamora led Mizzou with a 2-under par 69. Zamora had an impressive start to her round with an eagle and two birdies on the front nine and is tied for fifth headed into the second round. The round was the second lowest regional score in program history, trailing only Jessica Yuen third round 66 in Tallahassee.
Senior Melanie Walker stands in 24th after she notched a 1-over 72 with a pair of birdies. Freshman Ebba Liljeberg tailed Walker with a 2-over 72 to tie for 35th.
Senior Addie Dobson recorded a 5-over 76 and heads into Tuesday in 50th.
Sophomore Alexandra Berglund rounded out the Tigers and is tied for 52nd on the leaderboard following a 6-over 77.
The top five schools from stroke play, along with the low individual not on an advancing team move on to compete in the NCAA Women's Championship, taking place from May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.
