No. 18 Wrestling Loses Home Match No. 5 Oklahoma State

COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 18 University of Missouri wrestling falls to No. 5 Oklahoma State 33-3 Friday evening, January 23, at the Hearnes Center. Mizzou claimed victory in one out of ten matches, securing zero bonus point wins. The Tigers move to 8-7 (2-2 Big 12) while the Cowboys improve to 10-1 (5-0 Big 12).
Several Tigers put up a good fight before ultimately coming up short in the first seven matches. Mizzou finally hit paydirt on the scoreboard, as No. 3 Aeoden Sinclair picked up a third-period takedown against No. 8 Zack Ryder at 184 pounds. Sinclair's top-10 victory marked the third of his redshirt freshman season.
MATCH NOTES
- The Tigers' all-time record against the Cowboys falls to 8-48-1, and 8-23-1 under Head Coach Brian Smith. Missouri's last win in the series came on February 6, 2022, 21-20.
- The contest marked Mizzou's first home appearance since November 24, 2025, against Illinois.
- Teague Travis took the mat at 157 pounds in his first action in Columbia since joining the Tigers, coincidentally facing off against his old team in Oklahoma State.
- Sinclair's top-10 victory mirrored his other two of the season, all coming by a three-point margin (4-1 over Silas Allred, 6-3 over Max McEnelly).
