Wrestling Signs Two-Time NCAA Qualifier Luke Geog

Mizzou wrestling signed transfer Luke Geog, announced head coach Brian Smith on Monday, May 4.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou wrestling signed transfer Luke Geog, announced head coach Brian Smith on Monday, May 4. Geog is from Upper Arlington, Ohio, and has been with Ohio State since 2022.

Geog comes to Columbia with a full resume, highlighted by two appearances at the NCAA Championships. Qualifying twice at 197 pounds, his highest finish came in 2026, when he made it to the Round of 12, one win shy of All-American status. In four seasons in Columbus, Geog has compiled a 50-23 (.684) record overall and is 23-12 in dual meets. The Upper Arlington, Ohio native, has a career bonus rate of 39.81%, featuring 18 technical falls and two pins.

During his time as a Buckeye, Geog was honored twice on the Academic All-Big Ten team (2024, 2025) and as an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete during those same seasons. On the freestyle circuit, the newest Tiger put up a second-place finish at the 2025 U23 Nationals in Geneva, Ohio.

Before entering the collegiate ranks, Geog had a successful career for OHSAA powerhouse St. Edward in Lakewood, Ohio. He was a two-time state finalist at 170 pounds, winning an individual title in 2022. His high school resume also includes a third-place finish in the junior division at Fargo Nationals (2021) and an individual NHSCA National Championship (2021).
