Slaughter Honored on All-SEC Second Team

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou women's basketball junior guard Grace Slaughter has been named to the All-SEC second team, the league office announced on Tuesday.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou women's basketball junior guard Grace Slaughter has been named to the All-SEC second team, the league office announced on Tuesday.

The accolade is the latest for Slaughter who is one of the most decorated athletes in program history. The Grain Valley, Missouri native was previously named to the 2025-26 Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year preseason and midseason watch list, the 2024-25 SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year and to the 2023-24 All-SEC Freshman team.

This year, the junior ranks 33rd in the country and fifth in the SEC at 18.9 points per game. The average is a significant increase from a year ago when she finished 18th in the conference at 15.0 points per game.

Additionally, Slaughter has elevated her rebounding from 3.6 to 6.5 rebounds per game.

In a career-high 33-point performance against Northwestern on Nov. 29, the junior became the 41st athlete in program history to score 1,000th career points. From there, she has climbed all the way to 13th on Mizzou's all-time scoring leaderboard.

Totaling 585 points on the year, Slaughter has scored the eighth most points in a single season in program history.

Among all juniors in program history, Slaughter ranks in the top 10 in eight individual statistical categories.

Anchoring the Tigers on the floor, Slaughter is 19th in the country and second in the SEC with 35.84 minutes per game this year.

The junior is the first Mizzou player to earn an all-conference selection since Hayley Frank was honored on the second team following the 2022-23 season.

With the addition of Slaughter, Tigers' head coach Kellie Harper has developed nine All-SEC selections in six seasons.
