
Cross Country Women Place First, Men Second at Greeno Dirksen XC Invite

Cullen led the women to their second victory of the season.
Mizzou women's cross country took home first place while the men claimed second at the Greeno Dirksen Cross Country Invite on Saturday morning at the Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The Tiger women claimed the victory with 45 points to top the leaderboard among 21 other teams, with Nebraska-Kearney, Wichita State and Creighton finishing second, third and fourth, respectively.
Sophomore Charlotte Cullen led the way in the 5k with a 17:51.43 finish to take third, trailed by senior Allison Newman, who crossed the line three seconds later to tally a fifth-place result.
The men represented the Black and Gold with a second-place finish and 49 points. The Tigers beat 21 other schools in the men's 8k. Wichita State took first, with Air Force earning third.
Sophomore Elijah Limo finished second in the men's race in 24:13.74 during his cross country debut for the Tigers. Senior Ryder James ran a 24:27.21 to earn fifth.

Graduate Austin Popplewell and freshman Raymond Kipkoech punched in top-ten results in eighth and ninth, respectively, in the men's race.
