COLUMBIA, Mo. - Following the fifth day of preseason camp, Mizzou football coach Eliah Drinkwitz met with members of the media Saturday to address questions about the first week of practices, including the team's quarterback competition, injury updates and the emerging playmakers on both sides of the ball.
"I've been really pleased with the way these guys have attacked it," Drinkwitz said. "I think they've had really good energy about how we practice, acclimating the new guys to our systems. And the routine from day to day, I think they've really taken advantage of the recovery. Been pleased. The play has been up and down both sides of the ball. A lot of things to continually work on, but I thought the effort has been really good."
