
Kruse Named to 2025 SEC Softball Community Service Team

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Missouri softball senior Jayci Kruse was named to the 2025 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the league announced Tuesday.
Kruse, a right-handed pitcher at Mizzou, has been actively involved in community service throughout her collegiate career. She has donated her time as a Tiger to service efforts in Columbia and across the state of Missouri.
The Coto de Caza, California, native, has volunteered with Missouri Special Olympics, Columbia Public Schools and both the University of Missouri Children's Hospital and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
She will graduate this semester from Missouri with a Bachelor's in Health Science – Pre-Professional, along with minors in Biological Sciences and Psychological Sciences and a certificate in Fitness Programming & Management. Following graduation, she will pursue a nursing degree at Saint Louis University.
In the classroom, Kruse has been named to the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll in both 2023 and 2024. She has also earned seven Dean's List honors at the University of Missouri and is a three-time Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 22 league sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
Mizzou earned the No. 14 seed in this week's 2025 SEC Tournament and will face No. 11 seed Ole Miss in the opening round Tuesday. First pitch is set for 35 minutes after game one between No. 12 seed Georgia and No. 13 seed Kentucky. The game will be televised live on SEC Network. The winner will advance to face No. 6 seed Florida on Wednesday at 4 p.m., CT. The Tournament will run May 6-10 at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens, Georgia.
