
Women's Basketball to Host Vanderbilt on Senior Night

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women's basketball will host Vanderbilt at 2 p.m. on Sunday to close out the 2024-25 regular season. The senior night contest will stream live on SEC Network+.
Missouri (14-16, 3-12 SEC) will honor graduating seniors De'Myla Brown, Laniah Randle, Nyah Wilson and Angelique Ngalakulondi in a pregame ceremony. Missouri will also recognize head coach Robin Pingeton on her 250th milestone victory. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats at 1:40 p.m.
After the game, Mizzou will have an additional recognition to honor Pingeton for her 15 years with the Tigers.
On Wednesday, Pingeton announced she would be stepping away from the program at the conclusion of the season and focusing on the next chapter of her career.
Mizzou enters Sunday following a victory over Arkansas on Thursday.
Randle scored the game-winning basket to lift Missouri over the Southeastern Conference rival in the final seconds.
The senior forward finished with a team-high 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks in an all-around performance.
Sophomore guard Grace Slaughter, senior guard Tilda Sjökvist and Brown also reached double-figure points in the contest. Sjökvist's 13-point outing marked her new season high.
Slaughter leads the Tigers with 15.5 points per game this season including 16.4 in league play. She has scored in double figures in 12 connective contests.
Slaughter is fifth in the country in 3-point percentage (46.2%) among athletes who average 1.5+ makes per game this season.
Randle (49.8%) and Slaughter (50.2%) rank eighth and ninth in the SEC in field goal percentage, respectively.
Slaughter also ranks fourth in the conference in free throw percentage at 86.5.
Sophomore guard Abbey Schreacke is sixth in the SEC with 61 3-pointers this season. She also ranks seventh in the SEC in 3-point percentage (38.1%).
As a team, the Tigers are second in the SEC and are 10th nationally in 3-point percentage at 37.32 percent.
Vanderbilt enters Sunday at 20-9 including a 7-8 mark in conference play following a win over Texas A&M on Thursday.
The Commodores are coached by Shea Ralph who is in her fourth season at the helm with a 71-57 record.
The Vanderbilt roster is headlined by Mikayla Blakes and Khamil Pierra who average 23.1 and 20.9 points per game, respectively.
The contest will mark the 15th meeting in the all-time series with the Tigers leading 10-4, including a 4-2 record at Mizzou Arena.
