
Women's Basketball set for Sunday Clash with No. 18 Tennessee

Columbia, Mo. - University of Missouri's women's basketball will host No. 18/19 Tennessee at 2 p.m. on Sunday in Mizzou Arena. This contest will be streamed live on SECN+.
Missouri (12-11, 1-7 SEC) is coming off a narrow loss on the road to No. 5 Texas on Thursday.
Senior forward Laniah Randle recorded a season-best 22 points to lead the Tigers.
Sophomore guard Grace Slaughter and junior guard Aston Judd both contributed double-figure scoring outings in the contest as well.
Slaughter leads the Tigers with 14.8 points per game this season.
The sophomore ranks fifth in the conference in free throw percentage at 85.2 and is sixth in the country in 3-point percentage (45.9) among athletes who average 1.5+ makes per game.
Slaughter led Missouri to a win over Mississippi State on Monday with a career-best 31 points including the final game-winning basket at the buzzer.
Judd is averaging 13.3 points per game for the Tigers in SEC play.
Sophomore guard Abbey Schreacke is fourth in the SEC with 52 3-pointers this season.
With the 52 triples, Schreacke is third among all program sophomores for 3-pointers made in a season. She also ranks seventh in the SEC in 3-point percentage (38.8).
Redshirt sophomore Averi Kroenke ranks fourth in the conference and 18th in the country with a 2.57 assist-to-turnover ratio.
As a team, the Tigers lead the SEC and are fifth nationally in 3-point percentage at 37.96 percent.
Missouri is 2-8 over teams ranked No. 18 in the AP Top 25 with the last victory coming over Texas A&M on Feb. 7, 2019.
Tennessee enters Sunday at 15-5 including a 3-5 mark in SEC play following a loss to South Carolina on Monday.
Tennessee is coached by Kim Caldwell who is in her first year with the program. Caldwell spent seven years at Glenville State and a year at Marshall before leading the Lady Vols.
Tennessee's roster is headlined by Talaysia Cooper who is averaging 17.5 points per game.
Sunday will mark the 19th meeting between the teams with the Lady Vols leading the all-time series, 6-2.
