Halter Announces 2026 Track and Field Schedule

The Tigers host five indoor meets for the second consecutive year.
Mizzou track and field head coach Brett Halter announced the program's 2026 schedule on Thursday, highlighted by a five-meet homestand inside Hearnes Center Fieldhouse.
The Tigers' 14-meet slate runs from January through June and features eight indoor meets and six outdoor competitions.
Mizzou opens the season with five straight home meets, beginning with the Alexis Jarrett Invitational on January 10. The Tigers then host the Show-Me Showdown (Jan. 16), Bob Teel Invitational (Jan. 24), and the two-day Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational (Jan. 30–31). The homestand concludes with the Missouri Invitational on February 6.
This is the second consecutive year the program has hosted all five meets in Columbia.
The Tigers close the regular indoor season at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and the Valentine Invitational in Boston, Mass., both scheduled for February 13–14.
Postseason competition begins with the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championship in College Station, Texas, on February 26–28. The Tigers then return to Fayetteville for the NCAA Indoor Championship on March 13–14.
Mizzou opens the outdoor campaign at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta on March 20–21. The Tigers follow with the Raleigh Relays (March 27–28) and Battle on the Bayou at LSU on April 3–4.
After a bye week, Missouri resumes competition at the Big Red Classic in Lincoln, Neb., on April 16–18. The Tigers then head to Des Moines, Iowa, for the Drake Relays (April 24–25) and close the outdoor regular season at the Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence, Kan., on May 1–2.
The postseason continues with the SEC Outdoor Championship hosted by Auburn on May 14–16. Two weeks later, the Tigers return to Arkansas for the NCAA West First Round (May 28–30). The season concludes at the NCAA Outdoor Championship Final in Eugene, Ore., on June 10–13.
