
Diving Repeats Podium Sweeps During Second Day of Mizzou Invite

Tigers lead the invite with 1,137 points (women) and 1,110 points (men).
COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri swimming and diving extended their Mizzou Invite lead during the second day of competition. The women's squad sits in first with 1,137 points while the men lead with 1,110 points.
The diving squads extended their podium sweep into the second day of competition. For the women, Gabriela San Juan Carmona added another invite win in 1-meter diving with a score of 289.30. She was once again followed by Mia Henninger who marked a 287.65 performance. Megan Jolly came in third scoring 286.15.
On the men's side, Collier Dyer picked up his second gold of the invite scoring 425.65 in 3-meter diving. The podium was filled out by Tanner Braunton in second (397.20) and Derek Colbert in third (334.30). Tommaso Zannella followed in fourth with a 317.60 performance.
Morning prelims started strong with Jan Zubik hitting a NCAA qualifying standard and personal best in the 100 back. The Poland native touched the wall in 46.18. Zara Zallen added a NCAA qualification standard of her own in a 100 breast time trial (59.41).
Luke Nebrich continued his dominance in sprint free events hitting 18.82 in the men's 50 free to take first and get another NCAA qualifying standard time. Francesca Smith also took first in the women's 50 free, putting up a time of 22.49.
The Tiger sprint squads showed out in the 50 free events. Following Nebrich, Francois Malherbe tied for second and matched the NCAA qualification standard of 19.43. Darden Tate and Ethan Vance also swam in the A final finishing in fifth (19.68) and seventh (19.76). For the women, Katie Kuehn trailed Smith in third with a swim of 22.57.
Newcomers continued to pick up wins for Mizzou through the 100 back. Arizona State transfer, Quinlan Gould claimed gold in the men's 100 back with a 46.24 performance. Freshman Libby Bakker added another win in the women's 100 back going 53.07. Sydney Bales followed Bakker in second with a time of 53.87.
The men's squad proved to be strong in relays by achieving a NCAA qualification standard in the 200 medley relay. Gould, Brady Johnson, Nebrich and Malherbe compiled a 1:23.24 performance to take the win. The women's 200 medley relay of Annabelle Wentzel, Zallen, Paige Striley and Smith time trialed a run of 1:36.20 nearly missing the NCAA qualification standard.
The women's distance squad showed out with four swimmers competing in the 500 free A final. Zoe Schneider led the group coming in third with a 4:45.76 swim. The junior was followed by Peyton Drexler (fourth, 4:47.51), Danielle Gleason (fifth, 4:50.78) and Katie Gresik (sixth, 4:54.19). On the men's side. Conner Boatright brought home silver with a 4:24.36 time in the 500 free.
NOTABLE RESULTS
- Jazzelle Eikermann Gregorchuk and Olivia Liddle both competed in the women's 1-meter diving. Gregorchuk finished fifth (276.60) while Liddle came in seventh (268.35).
- Sebastian Gonzalez Barboza picked up points for the Tigers, finishing 11th in the men's 500 free with a time of 4:30.10.
- In the women's 100 back, Maeve DeYoung and Wentzel competed in the A final, finishing sixth (55.06) and eighth (55.44).
- Johnson finished seventh in the men's 100 back with a time of 47.70.
- Matthew Judkins and Griffin Craig reached the men's 100 back B final with ninth (48.48) and 12th (48.95) place finishes.
- Eleanor Hughes completed the women's 200 breast in 2:22.10 to finish 15th.
- Logan Ottke took fourth in the men's 200 breast with a 1:56.54 time.
- In the women's 50 free B final, Haiden Schoessel and Zuzanna Krasnicki picked up points for the Tigers, finishing 11th (23.04) and tied for 14th (23.33).
- Ian Everett, Jaden Pospishil and Drew Ploof all brought home points in the men's 50 free. Everett finished 11th (19.96), Pospishil followed in 12th (19.99) and Ploof came in 24th (21.03).

The Tigers will finish the Mizzou Invite with swim prelims at 9:30 a.m., dive prelims at noon and swimming and diving finals at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 22 in Mizzou Aquatic Center. Admission is free to the public, and the meet will be streamed on SEC Network+.
