
Women’s Basketball Closes Nonconference Schedule Against Jackson State

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women's basketball closes out the 2024-25 nonconference schedule at 2 p.m. on Sunday against Jackson State in Mizzou Arena. The contest will stream live on SECN+.
Missouri (10-4, 0-0 SEC) fell to Oral Roberts on Dec. 18 which snapped a five-game winning streak.
Senior forward Laniah Randle led the effort with 21 points against the Golden Eagles, the 15th career outing of 20 or more points for the senior.
Sophomore guard Ashton Judd contributed 18 points four rebounds and four steals. Judd has averaged 13.5 points and 3.7 rebounds in the last six games.
Graduate guard De'Myla Brown has scored 13 points and nine points in the last two games, respectively.
Abbey Schreacke is second in the SEC and ranks 12th nationally with 37 3-pointers this season. She also ranks seventh in the SEC in 3-point percentage (39.4)
As a team, the Tigers lead the SEC and are 10th nationally in 3-point percentage at 39.0 percent.
Redshirt junior guard Averi Kroenke ranks fifth in the SEC and 18th in the country with a 2.88 assist-to-turnover ratio.
In the classroom, Missouri earned a 3.35 GPA during the 2024 Fall semester. Eight Tigers recorded above 3.5 and four notched a perfect 4.0.
Jackson State enters Sunday at 2-8 following a win over Mercer on Dec. 19.
The Tigers finished last year at 26-7 including a perfect 18-0 mark against SWAC opponents.
Jackson State is coached by Margaret Richards who is in her first season at the helm.
Richards previously coached at Alabama A&M and Saint Augustin's where she compiled a 119-114 overall record.
The Tigers roster is headlined by senior guard Taleah Dilworth who averages 14.2 points.
The game will mark the fourth overall meeting between the programs as Missouri leads the all-time series 2-1.
Mizzou last defeated Jackson State 74-61 on Dec. 11, 2022.
