COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Football Head Coach Eliah Drinkwitz named six captains for the 2023 season Thursday, tabbing Chad Bailey, Brady Cook, Javon Foster, Ty'Ron Hopper, Darius Robinson and Cody Schrader for the honor. 

Bailey, Cook, Foster and Robinson are returning captains while Hopper and Schrader are first-time captains. 

Mizzou opens the season on Thursday, August 31, against South Dakota at Memorial Stadium. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. CT and airs on SEC Network and the Tiger Radio Network. The SEC Nation pregame crew will be on hand to broadcast its pregame show from Faurot Field.
