Columbia, Mo. – University of Missouri Women's Basketball head coach Robin Pingeton announced the addition of Hannah Linthacum who signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday and will continue her academic and athletic career with the Tigers.
Linthacum will join her older sisters, Micah and Sarah, as the third Linthacum on the Mizzou Women's Basketball roster. A native of Jefferson City, Mo.—she is one of two in-state signees in the 2023 signing class.
"I'm so glad that we are finally getting Hannah here to Columbia," said Pingeton. "We have spent years building a relationship with Hannah and already feel like she is one of our own. Like her sisters, Hannah has an enthusiasm for life, a heart for others, and the ability to light up a room. Her length, interior defense and shot blocking, and high motor will be a great addition to our roster. She has the ability to be disruptive on the defensive end and is equally skilled around the rim. A three-Linthacum roster is not only such a fun opportunity for Hannah, Sarah, Micah, and the Linthacum family, but it is a blessing to our entire program."
Linthacum, a 6-3 forward, averaged a double-double during her junior campaign at Jefferson City High School. She was named Class 5 All-State, All-District, and All-Conference after averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds. She was also named to the All-District team at the conclusion of her sophomore and freshman seasons as well. Not only does she shine on the basketball court, but Linthacum is also a volleyball standout for her high school. She is two-time All-District and All-Conference for the Lady Jays and was named to the All-State team after her junior season. Hannah excels in the classroom as well where her 3.8 GPA recently earned her Academic All-State honors.
"I chose Mizzou because of the amazing program and people including the coaches and players," said Linthacum. "I love how they truly care about developing you as a person versus just a basketball player. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff and love all of the players and I'm so excited to be a part of the Tiger family!"

- Quote from Hannah's parents: "We are blessed and excited for Hannah and the opportunity to join the Tiger Family. As parents, we are proud of Hannah's accomplishments. But we are more excited for her future in the Black and Gold not only on the hardwood, but making a difference in the classroom, campus and community as well. #MIZ"
- AAU Team: Missouri Phenom
- High School Coach: Kay Foster
- Quote from Coach Foster: "It has been a pleasure to watch Hannah's growth, ever since 7th grade, as a person and a basketball player in our Lady Jay program. As a junior, her leadership skills exploded, I am looking forward to where she leads our team this year. She has a genuine joy and excitement for her teammates' success that is contagious for the whole team including her coaches. That, combined with her leadership and basketball skills, make it hard to not keep her on the court the majority of the time. She is well-liked by her peers. She is a phenomenal athlete that will have earned multiple state volleyball and basketball honors by the time she graduates this year. What is excited for Mizzou women's basketball is the raw potential for improvement in her game despite averaging 19.8 ppg and 13.6 rpg in the 2021-22 season as a junior. It will be no surprise that she can be an impact player for Mizzou moving forward."
