
Mizzou Swim & Dive Breaks Seven Pool Records at South Carolina

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 10/18 University of Missouri swimming and diving teams split duals at South Carolina on Jan. 29. The Mizzou women defeated the Gamecocks 152-148, while the men lost a close battle 144-150.
The Tigers broke seven pool records at the Carolina Natatorium. Seniors Sarah Thompson and Jack Dahlgren broke two individual records a piece. Thompson set times of 52.45 in the 100 back and 52.33 in the 100 fly. Dahlgren set times of 46.48 and 1:42.64 in the 100 back and 200 back, respectively. Junior Ben Patton set the pool record in the 100 breast with a time of 52.97.
Both women's relay also set pool records. The 200 medley relay of Meredith Rees, Kayla Jones, Thompson and Megan Keil broke the record with a time of 1:38.07. The 400 free relay of Thompson, Keil, Amy Feddersen and Sierra Smith broke the record with a time of 3:16.33)
