INTRODUCTION
Mizzou Athletics is diligently working with University leadership, the Southeastern Conference, NCAA, and with the advisement of public health officials on developing a plan for a safe return to intercollegiate athletics competition this fall. The information below is meant to serve as a general guide, additional details will be released at a later time.
All fans who display any symptoms linked to Covid-19, who have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19, or suspect they may be infected, should stay home and contact their doctor.
Mizzou Athletics developed the following Game Day Guidelines listed below to ensure the best possible outcome for the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff, visiting teams, fans and community. The measures listed below are based on current information available and are subject to change as information continues to become available.
2021 FAN GUIDELINES & STADIUM PROTOCOLS
FACE COVERINGS
- Indoors
- Face coverings are encouraged at all times regardless of vaccination status.
- Face coverings are expected for unvaccinated guests
- Staff are required to wear a face covering regardless of vaccination status while interacting with guests if distancing is not feasible.
- Outdoors
- Face coverings are recommended for unvaccinated guests when distancing is not possible outdoors.
- Staff are required to wear a face covering regardless of vaccination status while interacting with guests if distancing is not feasible.
- On field or playing surface
- Face coverings will be expected for all guests and working personnel who are not game participants or credentialed bench personnel. All team personnel and student athletes will follow SEC policies pertaining to face coverings.
INDOOR AIR CIRCULATION
- Windows will be opened when feasible and the turnover of air for HVAC systems will be maximized in common areas.
SIGNAGE
- Signage will be posted throughout the facility outlining the current face covering guidelines and other pertinent policies.
CAPACITY
- The stadium will operate at standard capacity.
ADVANCED CLEANING PROTOCOLS
- Restrooms and high contact surfaces will be sanitized with an electrostatic sprayer.
- Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the facility.
REDUCE POINTS OF CONTACT
- Mobile tickets will be utilized to reduce points of contact.
- Concessions will have limited cash options to reduce points of contact. The use of credit or debit cards is strongly encouraged.
CONCESSIONS
- Plexiglass barriers will be in place at point of sales.
- Condiments will be offered in single serve containers.
FIELD ACCESS (Football only)
- Pre-game
- The band and spirits squads will be permitted on the field but will not have any contact with the team.
- Football recruits, Olympic sport recruits, and field guests will be allowed in designated areas of the sideline outside of the team boxes. The areas will be distanced from the team box and field.
- In game
- The band and spirit squads will be able to access the field during halftime. They will be required to maintain distance from student athletes and bench personnel at all times.
- Field guests will be allowed in designated areas of the sideline. The areas will be distanced from the team box and field.
- Access to team areas will follow current SEC guidelines.
MEDIA
- Face coverings will be required in all media seating areas when social distancing is not possible.
- Plexiglass barriers will be used where feasible.
