Mizzou Cross Country Receives USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Distinction

Chapman and Wood receive All-Academic Individual honors
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Cross Country earned 2020 NCAA Division-I All-Academic Team honors, as announced on Thursday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA). Both the men's and women's programs earned the distinction. Additionally, senior Sarah Chapman (Maidenhead, England) and redshirt senior KIeran Wood (Cambridge, England) both earned the All-Academic individual distinctions.
In order to qualify for the All-Academic team honor, a team must have a combined cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. As a team, the Mizzou women earned a cumulative GPA of 3.565, while the men earned a 3.029 GPA. To qualify for the All-Academic individual honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have either qualified for the national championship meet or finished top-5 at their respective conference championship.
Chapman, in pursuit of a Master's in Business Administration, has earned a GPA of 3.565 over the course of her degree. Chapman was named to the All-SEC first team after finishing third at the SEC XC Championships back in October. She most recently finished 47th at the NCAA Championships.
Wood has earned a cumulative GPA of 3.647 in his time at Mizzou, as he pursues a Master's in Exercise Physiology. Wood was also named to the All-SEC first team after a fourth place finish at the SEC XC Championships.
