LYNCHBURG, Va. - The University of Missouri men's basketball team struggled to overcome a slow start in the first half Thursday night against Liberty. Liberty (4-3), who owns the second-longest home winning streak in the country, won 66-45.
The Tigers were led by Kobe Brown who recorded his third double-double of the season and second-straight with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Amari Davis joined Brown in double-digits with 13, for his fifth-consecutive game.
Down 21 at half, Mizzou matched Liberty toe-to-toe in the second half but could not find a way to cut into the Flames lead by more than 15, with five minutes remaining in the game. Scoring in the second half was tied at 31 a piece.
Liberty lived up to its ranking, as the Flames came into Thursday night's game ranked 11th in the nation in scoring defense.
