No. 49 Men’s Golf Takes Title at Steelwood

Top-10 finishes from Crockett, Lundin pace Tigers to 17-under performance.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – With three players finishing in the top 20, University of Missouri men's golf took the team title at South Alabama's Steelwood Collegiate Invitational on Sunday. Steelwood Country Club (par 72) hosted the 14-team field with 36 holes played on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.
The No. 49 Tigers secured the top spot of the leaderboard - and a five-stroke lead - after rounds one and two on Saturday, firing rounds of 280 and 279, respectively. On Sunday, the squad shot an even-par 288 score for the two-stroke victory over Kentucky (287-279-283-849, -15). Memphis rounded out the top three, shooting 13-under over for the tournament.
Sophomore Jack Lundin and junior Charlie Crockett were part of an eight-way tie for eighth place. Lundin put together rounds of 72, 69 and 71 for a score of 212 (-4). He shot a final round of one-under par. Crockett shot rounds of 67, 72 and 71. He was one over on Sunday.
Junior Yu Ta Tsai finished in a five-way tie for 16th place. He carded rounds of 69, 72 and 72 (213,- 3). He was even par on Sunday. Senior Jack Parker's scores of 77, 66 and 76 (219, +3) were good for a tie for 37th place. Freshman Dagbjartur Sigurbrandsson rounded out the Mizzou five in a tie for 47th place. He shot rounds of 72, 78 and 72 for a 222 (+6).
