Volleyball Embarks for Baton Rouge

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball (3-13, 0-3 SEC) is traveling south for their match against LSU (5-8, 1-3 SEC) on Wednesday, Oct. 6, inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La. First serve is set for 7 p.m. CT.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball (3-13, 0-3 SEC) is traveling south for their match against LSU (5-8, 1-3 SEC) on Wednesday, Oct. 6, inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La. First serve is set for 7 p.m. CT.

The bout against the Tigers will air on the SEC Network.

SERIES SNAPSHOT

  • Mizzou leads the all-time series over LSU, 13-4.
  • The two sides met twice last spring, with Mizzou taking a pair of 3-2 decisions inside the Hearnes Center. 
  • Mizzou is currently riding a ten-match winning streak over LSU, dating back to the 2015 campaign. Mizzou has claimed four consecutive wins in matches taking place at LSU. 

LAST TIME OUT

  • Junior Anna Dixon led the Tigers with 16 kills in their last match against the Gamecocks, while graduate student Brynn Carlson produced nine kills.
  • Freshman Kayla Burbage had a season-high nine blocks, with four solo blocks and five block assists. The four solo blocks from Burbage ties her for tenth all-time in solo blocks in a single match. The last time a Tiger was able to produce eight plus blocks was in 2018.
  • Sophomore Emily Brown produced double-digit digs in six-straight matches with 14 against the Gamecocks last week.
  • Freshmen Lauren Forbes and Kaylee Cox both helped the Tigers by producing 10 digs.
  • Freshman Addison Lyon dished out 22 assists, which is a season-high for her in four sets.
