Mizzou Track and Field Announces 2021 Indoor Schedule

The Tigers will kick off their season Jan. 15 in Nashville, Tenn.
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou Track and Field announced its schedule for the upcoming Indoor Track and Field season Thursday. The slate includes five meets, including two trips to Fayetteville, Ark., where the SEC Championships and NCAA Championships are set to be held.
"We are excited to get a chance to get back on the track and in the field," head coach Brett Halter said of the upcoming season. "Both teams have done a remarkable job protecting themselves and others while maintaining elite level training throughout the fall. Their focus has been extraordinary. It will be fun to put their work to test in competition!"
The 2021 season will open Jan. 15-16 with a trip to Nashville, Tenn., for the Vanderbilt Commodore Indoor. The meet will be the first of two trips to Vanderbilt for the Tigers.
Mizzou will next send split squads to Fayetteville, Ark., and Ames, Iowa, Jan. 22-23 for the Woo Pig Invitational and the Iowa State Cyclone Invitational, respectively. The Tigers also sent teams to the respective competitions during the 2020 indoor season. The season will continue with another trip to Fayetteville on Feb. 5 for the Arkansas Qualifier before concluding the regular season Feb. 12-13 with the Music City Challenge.
Following the regular season, the Tigers will travel back to Fayetteville for the third and fourth times. First, the team will make the trip for the SEC Championships from Feb. 25-27. Last season, Martin Prodanov won an SEC title in the mile run as the men finished seventh while the women finished 10th. After the conference championship, the NCAA Indoor Championships in the same venue from March 12-13.
