Mizzou Women’s Golf Individuals Set to Compete in PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship

Keagan Dunn and Jess Yuen of the Mizzou Women's Golf team are traveling down to Florida to compete in the diversity-focused PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship this week.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fl. Keagan Dunn and Jess Yuen of the Mizzou Women's Golf team are traveling down to Florida to compete in the diversity-focused PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship this week.

The event – formerly known as the National Minority College Championship – was created in 1986 to "elevate the game at minority colleges and universities by providing student-athletes with the opportunity to compete on a championship stage during an era when they were excluded from playing in many collegiate golf events." It is considered to be the most culturally significant championship in collegiate golf.

WHERE: The event will take place at TPC Sawgrass (Par-72, 6,253 yards) in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl.

WHEN: Three rounds of stroke play will occur with 18 holes each day running from Monday, May 5 through Wednesday, May 7.

FOLLOW: Live results and scores will be available here.

INDIVIDUALS COMPETING: Keagan Dunn and Jess Yuen

This will be junior Keagan Dunn's (Braselton, Ga.) first competition appearance this season. Before the season was cut short last year, she played in three events with her best performance at the Westbrook Invitational, shooting her season-low score of a 2-over 74.

Senior Jess Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) is on a hot streak this spring after having four consecutive Top-20 finishes before most recently going into the SEC Championship where she fired two of her three rounds under par. Yuen also just qualified for the NCAA regionals taking place May 10-12.
