COLUMBIA, Mo. – Six members of the Mizzou women's swimming team earned invitations to the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, the NCAA announced on Wednesday (March 3).

Seniors Sarah Thompson (Collierville, Tenn.) and Amanda Smith (Dry Ridge, Ky.), junior Megan Keil (Derby, Kan.), sophomores Katrina Brathwaite (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec, Canada) and Meredith Rees (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and freshman Jane Smith (Palatine, Ill.) will represent the Tigers at the Championships, held March 17-20 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Missouri is also eligible to swim four relays: the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay.

Mizzou's divers will vie for NCAA Championship bids next week at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships, March 11-13, in Lexington, Ky.

Thompson earned the fourth NCAA invite in as many seasons. She made the cut in three different events, and enters the meet seeded third in the 50 free and seventh in both the 100 free and 100 back. Thompson, who earned finishes of second in the 100 back and fifth in the 200 free at the recent SEC Championships, holds Mizzou's 50 free record and ranks third all-time in the 100 free and fourth in the 100 back and 200 back.

Keil claimed an NCAA berth for the second-straight year with invites in the 50 and 100 free. She enters the seeded eighth in the 50 free and 31st in the 100 free, and can also swim the 100 fly at the Championships.

Also earning her second Championships berth is Rees, who punched her NCAA bid in the both the 100 and 200 back, where she enters the meet as the 18th seed in both races. Also eligible to swim the 100 fly, Rees claimed a pair of fifth-places finishes in both event at the SEC Championships, to go along with an 11th place finish in the 100 fly.

In her senior season, Amanda Smith claimed her first career NCAA Championships berth in the 200 back. She swam a career-best time of 1:54.74 in the event at the SEC Championships to finish 11th overall. The 1:54.74 was the first time she ever went under 1:55. She is also eligible to swim the 200 IM at the Championships.

Also earning her first NCAA bid is Brathwaite, who qualified in both the 100 and 200 breast. The sophomore enters the meet seeded 21st in the 100 breast and 34th in the 200 breast, and ranks third all-time at Mizzou in both events thanks to personal-best times at November's Mizzou Invite.

In her first season of collegiate swimming, Jane Smith punched her NCAA Championships ticket with a bid in the 1650 free. She enters NCAAs seeded 40th in the race after a personal-best time of 16:23.83 in Mizzou's last chance meet against Missouri State on Feb. 28.
