Mizzou Track & Field Earns Academic Recognition from USTFCCCA

10 student-athletes earn All-Academic recognition, both programs earn Academic team honor
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Mizzou Track & Field program continued its tradition of success in the classroom Thursday, as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its Academic Awards. Mizzou had 10 student-athletes garner All-Academic individual recognition, while both the men's and women's programs earned the All-Academic team honor.
The All-Academic team award is given to programs with at least a 3.00 cumulative team grade-point-average (GPA). The women's team, which turned in a program record 3.74 GPA over spring term and a 3.44 over the 2019-20 academic year, has earned the All-Academic team nod every season dating back to 1999 (no release in 2002 or 2004). The men's team completed its best semester GPA on-record during the spring 2020 semester (3.33) and posted a 3.2 mark over the academic year.
In order to be named an All-Academic Individual, a student-athlete must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA and either be ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event, or the top 48 in any championship relay event over the 2020 indoor season.
Over the last two weeks, 51 student-athletes from Mizzou Track & Field were named to the Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll, while 11 were selected to the First-Year SEC Honor Roll.
