COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving programs excelled in the classroom this spring, with team grade point averages of 3.73 for the women's team and 3.64 for the men's program for the spring 2020 semester.
"I'm very proud of our student athletes," Head Coach Andrew Grevers said. "We have spent the year learning how to acknowledge and move past the things that are outside of our control while putting our energy and focus into the things that we can control. These swimmers and divers did an incredible job of putting their energy and focus into having a great academic semester."
The GPAs are spring program records for both teams, and mark the sixth-consecutive spring semester that both programs earned at least a team GPA of 3.0 in the spring semester.
Additionally, 13 student-athletes recorded perfect 4.0s in the spring, another all-time high for the programs.
In April, 19 members of the women's team and 11 student-athletes from the men's team earned spots on the 2020 Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll.
