Dove caught a career-high six passes for 83 yards and a TD in Mizzou’s win over LSU Saturday
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou redshirt sophomore WR Tauskie Dove (Denton, Texas) was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention list Tuesday (Oct. 13), as announced by SPORTyler and the Tyler Chamber of Commerce. Each year, the The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is presented annually to college football's offensive player of the year with a Texas connection, and each week they announce the top players nationally. Dove made the list after catching a career-high six passes for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Dove was part of a dynamic Mizzou offense that helped the Tigers to a key win over No. 17 LSU last Saturday. The win marked Mizzou's first over a ranked opponent since Nov. 3, 2018, at No. 13 Florida and it was Mizzou's first win over a defending national champion since Sept. 9, 1978, when Mizzou defeated fifth-ranked Notre Dame, 3-0. It was also Mizzou head coach Eliah Drinkwitz's first win since taking over the program.
He scored the game's initial touchdown on a 58-yard flea-flicker pass from QB Connor Bazelak in the first quarter. It was his first score as a Tiger.
Dove and the Tigers will be back in action this Saturday for the 109th Homecoming against Vanderbilt. Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m. (CT) on SEC Network.
