
@MizzouSoccer’s Morcquess Oliphant Named an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar

Oliphant Selected to the Second Team
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Soccer's Morcquess Oliphant was named to the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Second Team, Diverse Magazine announced Wednesday morning.
Oliphant was named to the list following a great fall semester for her athletically and academically. The sophomore forward appeared in 19 games for the Tigers, notching two starts, 464 minutes and an assist. Oliphant was also a standout in the classroom, where she finished the fall with a 3.43 GPA as a Biological Sciences major. She owns a 3.8 cumulative GPA in her three semesters at the University of Missouri.
The Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Awards are given to undergraduate students who have excelled in the classroom as well as on the athletic field. Inspired by tennis legend Arthur Ashe, Jr.'s commitment to education as well as his love for the game of tennis, Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars demonstrate a commitment to community service and student leadership as well as academic and athletic excellence.
